We recorded most of this EP at my home studio and it was a good first effort for the band. I am happy with how it turned out. Nick’s “Sterling City” is my favorite off of the EP, but Erik Olson contributed with his song “Home” and my song “Wonder” made the cut.

This was the first project I recorded after setting up my home studio. It was a big undertaking, but I was happy to have the experience of doing a whole soundtrack for a really beautiful local project. My concept was to do mostly acoustic instrumentation and capture what I felt like was the “musical spirit” of Montana. I feel like with the big sky and open spaces, as well as the awesome stories of these Montana artists, it gives us the opportunity to feel a wider set of emotions so I tried to represent that in the music.
